Son of Albert and Elvira Churchill, raised at Monrovia, KS. Attended the Monrovia school. Husband of Anna Elizabeth Dudley, their children were Irene, Ruth, Virginia, Emmett, jr., Charles, Shirley Ann, Nancy Yvonne and Phyllis Kay Churchill.

Emmett Churchill Sr.
Service arrangements for Emmett E. Churchill Sr., 62, a retired stationary fireman for the Missouri Pacific railroad, are pending at the Alexander mortuary.
Mr. Churchill was pronounced dead on arrival at a St. Joseph hospital Wednesday. A native of Monrovia, Kan., he resided at Atchison, Kan., until coming to St. Jospeh a year ago, due to his health, to reside with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Jones, He was member of Zion Baptist Church in Atchison.
In addition to the daughter, survivors include four other daughters, Miss Ruth Jane Churchill, Billings, Mont.; Mrs. Phyllis K. Robinson, Los Angeles; Mrs. Shirley A. Wallingford, Atchison, and Mrs. Nancy Y. Hill, St. Joseph; two sons, Charles Alfred Churchill, Atchison, and Emmett Churchill Jr., St. Joseph, and Emmett Churchill Jr., St Joseph; four brothers Dewey Churchill, , Chicago; William, Monrovia, Holbert and Ralph Churchill Atchison; 38 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Emmett Churchill left today for Camp Carson, Colo., to visit his son, who is stationed there in the army. Emmett is a roundhouse laborer at the Central Branch shops.
