"Services for Arlista Cato, of 2502 Valerie Drive of Marshall, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Canaan Baptist Church with Rev. Guy Belton officiating. Burial will be in Canaan Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home. Mr. Cato died Friday, December 16, 1994 at his home. Born in Marshall, he was the son of Luther Cato Sr. and Mrs. Bonnie Brewster Cato. He attended Harrison County public schools, and he was employed as a cook. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Rosie Lee Cato; his mother, Bonnie Cato of San Francisco, California; five sons; four brothers, Willie Earl Cato of Oakland, California, Lawrence Ray Cato and Johnny Earl Cato, both of San Francisco California, and Luther Cato Jr. of Marshall; five sisters, Zelma Batups, Barbara Brown, Perthelene Wingate and Catherine Cato, all of San Francisco, and Lois Cato of Richmond, California; and five grandchildren."
