NELLIE M. BRUSHABER
Nellie M. Brushaber, 90, of Gladwin, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 1997 at the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home after a short illness. Born Nov. 10, 1906 in Gladwin, she was a homemaker all of her life.-Nellie was a member of Gladwin Eagles Aux., Aerie 3292 and VFW Auxiliary, Post 11275 of Gladwin. The former Nellie M. Hinkley married Fred H. Brushaber on Dec. 18, 1926 in Flint. He preceded her in death Aug. 18, 1987.
Surviving are two sons, Frank and wife Marjorie of Newaygo, Lavon (Bud) and wife Lucy of Pinellas Park, Fla.; one sister, Myrtle Mason of Gaylord; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bessie Ritchie, Oct. 20, 1993. A special Eagles memorial service was held at 8 p.m. Friday.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Kaufman officiating. Burial was in Cemetery, Gladwin. Gladwin County Record dated 1-29/1997 Column – 5 Page – 2.
