Timothy Wayne Bernard
Dec. 20, 1959 – Jan. 4, 2016
Timothy Wayne Bernard, 56, passed away on Monday, Jan.  4, 2016. He was born to Frank Bernard and Alberta Bernard Cantwell on Dec. 20, 1959. Tim was born five minutes after his older twin brother, Jay, and the seventh of eight children. Tim was born in Benson, Ariz. The family later moved to Illinois, Wisconsin, and then back to Arizona, where Tim went to Valley Union High School in Elfrida and graduated in 1978.
As a young boy, Tim always got along well with other kids. He enjoyed playing in the river, fishing, scouting, canoeing, swimming, and riding his pony. He and his brothers were always in friendly competition with each other.
Tim worked at Ft. Huachuca for the Army and then later as a ballroom dance instructor. In 1982, Tim began working at Sojitz Corporation of America in Houston. He worked in the accounting department for over 30 years, until the time of his death. Various times throughout his career, Tim was sent to the company headquarters in New York City, where he trained new employees. Tim’s co-workers said that he was a hard worker, honest, loyal, dependable, and got along well with everyone and that Tim was a man of integrity.
Tim enjoyed spending time with friends and watching old movies. He used to do a lot of camping in his younger days and told his friends that because of his camping experience, “I am well prepared for a hurricane (as long as I don’t lock myself out during the worst of it!)”.
Tim was serious, hard working, caring, and loving towards everyone, especially his family and friends. He spent his last Christmas with his brother, sister and mother in Boise, Idaho.
He is survived by his mother, three sisters and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his father, his older sister and twin brother, Jay.
