Charles Henry Mead was the son of Harrison Murray Mead (1878 CT - 1935 CT) and Elizabeth Mulrain (or Ray?) (1872 Ireland - ).

He had two sisters:
Olive E. Mead Gilbertson, 1896 CT - 1931 NJ, wife of Dr. Robert Gilbertson. Buried in Union Cemetery, Greenwich, Fairfield CT.
Marion A. Mead Rosenberg, 1898 CT - perhaps 1941 NY?, wife of Rubin Rosenberg

After surviving the sinking of the "Tuscania," he served in World War I and returned aboard "Lousville" in May 1919. On both voyages, he listed his paternal aunt, Alice Mead, of Greenwich CT as his next-of-kin.

On 12 September 1923 Charles married Ann Elizabeth Doyle in Greenwich, Fairfield CT. Ann was born 21 March 1901 in Connecticut to John Francis Doyle and Delia Marron Doyle, and died 20 November 1955 in Tucson, Pima, Arizona. She is also buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich, Fairfield CT.

The couple had three children:

Kevin Charles Mead, 1924 CT - 1944 CA. An ensign in the U.S. Navy, the torpedo bomber he was piloting crashed 1/2 mile from the Vernalis air base, killing him and two other Navy men.

John M. (Jack) Mead, 1927 CT - 2017 AZ. Find A Grave 199913389

Marcia Mead Gross, wife of Thomas William Gross

Charles was an electrician. He resided in Greenwich, Fairfield, Connecticut, in the 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930 and 1940 censuses.

CHARLES H. MEAD
Charles H. Mead, 64, of 4026 E. Pima, died Saturday night at the Veterans Hospital. He was an electrician with the Oestreich Electric Co., and came to Tucson in 1945 from Greenwich, Conn. He was a veteran of World War I and had entered the hospital Friday.

He is survived by his son, John M. Mead, of Tucson; and a daughter, Mrs. Thomas W. Gross, of Santa Clara, Calif. There are four grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Arizona Mortuary.
