Snow Eva Howton

NORTHPORT - Snow Eva Howton, age 94, died December 12, 2017, at her residence. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Booth; parents, Wiley and Parryzay Jacobs; sisters, Frances Karst, Lois Jacobs and Iona Boothe; and brothers, Henry, Rufus, Gilbert, Raymond and Windle Jacobs.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years Edward "Bickett" Howton; daughter, Eva Ann Ramsey (Curtis) of Northport, Ala., son, Cecil Wiley "CW" Booth (Josiephine) of Foley, Ala.; sister, Augusta Crocker of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Dewayne Ramsey of Coker, Randy Ramsey of Macon, Ga., Malissa Bailey (Tim) of Tuscaloosa, Skipper Booth of Northport, Ala., Scotty Booth (Leah) of Acworth, Ga. and Ginger Booth of Northport, Ala.; and numerous great-grand and great-great grandchildren. 

Born in March 14, 1923, Snow Eva grew up as a sharecropper with her parents. Hard work was a way of life for her and she instilled that in her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful church member and a traveler. Everyone has always said, "Snow never missed a trip and never drove a mile." 

Her hobbies included: making quilts, sewing, baking, and spending time with family and friends. She will be missed, but remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. 

Pallbearers will be Tillman Marlowe, Joe Pritchett, Ronald Dean Boothe, Chad Crocker, Eugene Booth, Danny Jacobs and Chris Booth. 

Honorary pallbearers are McCoy Booth, Patsy Pritchett, Jackie Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Trull, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Sanders, Dr. and Mrs. Warren Holley, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Quinn, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Thomas, Bevaline Booth, Marie Gann, Mr. and Mrs. Don Boothe, Kim Burroughs, Mr. and Mrs. John Turner, Larry Sexton, Joe Rose, Judd Kelly, Linnie Shepherd, Rev. Michael Feltman, past and present members of Northport Church of God, and Buhl Church of God, Hospice of West Alabama, and Home Instead.

Funeral will be held Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Northport Church of God with Rev. Greg Strickland, Rev. Rick Bradley and Rev. David Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel directing. Visitation will be Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., at Northport Church of God.
