He was retired from Weyerhaeuser Company. He was a US Navy aircraft mechanic. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 10 am, Monday, December 18, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Poteau, OK with Rev. Gentry Hill & Phil McGehee officiating. Interment will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Little River County, AR.
