He married Minnie Schoor on 31 May 1902 in St. Charles, MO, and they had six children: Raymond Bruce Alexander (1904-1991), Ruth Nadine (Alexander) Lee (1906-1953), Charles Shaler Alexander (1908-1976), Mildred Rosalie (Alexander) Peterson (1912-1981), and twins Catharine Alexander (1918-1988, never married), and Ella Mae (Alexander) Fiegel (1918-1970).
