Harl William Sarratt Sr. died Monday, October 17, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Muskogee,OK surrounded by his family. He was 90 years old.

A memorial service for Harl will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 15732 S Hwy 72, Coweta, OK, Sunday, October 23 at 5pm. All are welcome to attend.

Harl was born September 30, 1921 in Snowball, Arkansas. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He learned about his loving God, Jehovah in 1960 and from then on, he made it his lifes work teaching the bible to others, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and everyone he met. He retired from Douglas Aircraft in 1969, then went into home building and carpentry. He loved gardening, playing guitar and piano, and singing to his grandchildren. He looked forward to the hope found at Psalms 37:11,29

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marie Sarratt of Coweta, three children, Anita Floyd of Claremore, OK, William Sarratt and wife, Gift, of Coweta, and Deanna Hunt of Locust Grove. Ten grandchildren, Will Sarratt and wife Jasmine, of Coweta, Isaac Sarratt and wife, Rebekah, of Coweta, Giselle Floyd of Claremore, Leila Floyd of Joplin, MO, Jennifer Sarratt of Keifer, Jake Hunt of Locust Grove, Djenaba Ruark and husband Aaron of Claremore ,Kerie Dewey and husband Terrence of Salina, Christopher Floyd of Claremore, and Caleb Sarratt of Coweta. Five great-grandchildren, Nya Sarratt of Coweta, Atreyu Yarrington of Joplin, MO, Jude Sarratt of Coweta, Rowan Ruark of Claremore, and Hailey Hunt of Locust Grove. Three siblings, Bethel Logan of Tulsa, Doris Hammons and husband Harold of Austin, TX. Lee Sarratt and wife Gaylene of Springdale, AR.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Gene Sarratt, Garland Sarratt, and Cecil Sarratt, his sisters, Helen Amburn and Lyndell Medley, and grandson Benjamin Floyd.
