MAYSVILLE - James "Buckwheat" Marshall Thomas, 57, died Dec. 11, 2017. He was the manager of the Quarry Lakes in Maysville.

Surviving are his children, James Elwood Thomas of Dover; Briana Jesica Thomas; Tiffany Marie Thomas and Ashley Denise Thomas of Maysville; his mother and stepfather, Barbara Yearwood Eubanks and Rayford Eubanks of Trenton; his brother, Eddie Ray Thomas of Kinston; his sisters, Debbie Eubanks of Trenton and Jenny Cook of Pollocksville and 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 6:00 PM Thursday, in the chapel of the Sayland Funeral Home in Maysville. Visitation will follow the service. His cremains will be interned in the Dogwood Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
Services entrusted to Sayland Funeral Home, Maysville.
