Nancy is survived by eight grandchildren: Amanda, Stefanie, Rachel, Aaron, Meredith, Nicholas, Michael, Andrew, who absolutely adored their grandma. Nancy also leaves twelve great grandchildren and her beloved cat, Jeter.
Although life dealt Nancy more than her share of disappointments, she did not dwell on them, instead clinging to her faith while creating for herself a quiet life of simple pleasures. She was a voracious reader, particularly fond of mysteries, and was an inspiration to her grandchildren, often admonishing them to “crack those books!” Her love of the written word earned her a vast and impressive vocabulary which proved helpful as she never encountered a crossword puzzle she couldn’t accurately complete. All her life she was known for her beautiful handwriting, love of gardening and animals (and their love for her), and a balanced checkbook – to the penny.
The family would like to thank the many doctors and care professionals who took care of Mom with such compassion over the last several years, in particular Dr. Porile and his staff. We are heartbroken, but are grateful for her life and legacy and take comfort in knowing she has joined her sweet mother in her eternal reward of perfect peace and pure love in the arms of her Creator.
