She is in the State of OR death index as Alice H. McCredie. That would indicate to me that she preferred going by her middle name of Alice. Her being Alice H. is no doubt an error in records somewhere along the line since she is buried near her husband William as Mary Alice McCredie on her gravestone.
Oh yes, the H. is probably for her maiden name of Higgins.
Her funeral notice says she was the aunt of Mrs. William R. Briese, I think. The last name is hard to make out.
