Daughter of Ebenezer Jennings and Sarah Ann Ferris, wife of Selah Platt Rose, whom she married on October 2, 1842, in New York, NY, and mother of Emily F. (married Henry Smith), William Henry, Oliver P., Charlotte M., Adolphus S., George Washington, Martha (married George Higgins) and Lilla M. Rose (married Rinker).


Obituary - Mrs. Eunice Rose - Whitestone, L.I., May 9 - Mrs. Eunice Rose, wife of S.P. Rose, died here yesterday, after a long illness. The deceased was a resident of Whitestone for over thirty-five years. Beside her husband she leaves six children, William H. Rose of Whitestone, Mrs. Henry Smith, of Flushing, George Washington Rose of Peconic, L.I., Mrs. A. Bailey of Portland, Me., Mrs. George Higgins and Adolphus Rose of Massachusetts. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon.
