Barbara A. Case, 75, of Bloomington, passed away at 5:57 PM on Monday September 4, 2017 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born on December 31, 1941 in Scottsbluff, NE to Morris and Beulah May (Harsin) Prouty. They preceded her in death along with her step-father Hiram Tritle; one brother, Calvin Prouty and one sister, Elsie Delores (Prouty) Hickman. She is survived by six children, Ernest (Jody) Turner Jr, Ralph (Sandra) Turner, Scott (Lori) Turner, Glenda Turner and James (Jill) Case all of Chillicothe, and Becky Pulst of Vancouver, WA; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her companion of many years, Joseph Maxwell of Bloomington, IL; four siblings Betty Jo Benton, Marjorie Prouty, Dorothy (Prouty) Moss and Leo Arthur Tritle.
Barbara had been a bus driver for the IVC School District for 19 years. She also had been a manager of convenience stores for 27 years. She loved to go camping and was of the Methodist Faith.
Cremation will be accorded. Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria is in care of the arrangements. Memorials in Barbara's honor may be made to OSF Children's Hospital, the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home
