Emily Dawn Baum, age 19, passed away on December 22, 2017 at the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Emily was born in Rexburg, Idaho, and lived in various states including Idaho, Utah, Virginia and Florida. She was the daughter of Lynette Baum Iverson from Ashton, Idaho.

Emily graduated at North Fremont High School in Ashton and was attending Utah State University. During the summers Emily would come home from college to work for the family business running shuttles for fly fisherman.

Emily was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a deep love for the Savior and His Gospel. She enjoyed being with family, especially her nieces and nephews.

She loved running shuttles for fisherman and was starting her collection of fly fishing gear for her new-found hobby. She loved playing sports, including soccer, basketball, volleyball and especially softball.

Emily will be remembered for her continuous bright smile and happy countenance that lit up a room. She also had a soft spot for special needs children and often volunteered with special needs activities at Utah State University. She was loved by so many for her kindness, happy disposition, and compassion for others.

Emily was survived by her mother, Lynette Baum Iverson; stepfather, James Joseph Iverson; sisters: Audrey Lynn (Joel) Vega, Kelley (Daniel) Boisvert, Blanca Isabel (Eloy Mark) Mazo, Christine Brianne Hill (Thomas) Lydiksen, Lauren Grace Hill and Madelyn Hill; brothers: Nathan Grant Hill and Charles G. Hill; and grandparents: Rex and LaDawn Baum, of Ashton, and Rick and Julianne Hill, from St. Anthony.

Emily was predeceased by her father, Rick Ryan Hill.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27, at the Ashton LDS Stake Center. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., both times at the stake center.

Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home.

Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Salt Lake City Utah, or Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah.
