Doyle Arnold Acklin was born Oct. 13, 1935. He was the son of Lester (1898-1969) and Clara (Tunell) Acklin (1902-1990).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Clara Acklin; and four brothers, Lowell, Donald, Kenneth, and Paul Acklin.
Doyle married to Marjorie Ellen Dunham on Aug. 26, 1962 in St. Joseph, Missouri. On May 18, 1970, he completed an apprenticeship in the trade of tool and die under the sponsorship of Bendix Corporation. He worked at General Motors from January 1976 to May 1988, when the Leeds plant closed. He worked for Fixtures Manufacture Corp. from March 1995 to February 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie of the home in Lee’s Summit; sons, Brian Acklin of Lee’s Summit, Roy (Teresa Lee) Acklin of Olathe, KS, and Ronald Acklin of Independence, MO; daughter, Teresa Lynn Acklin (Tracy Johnson) of Lee’s Summit; and many nieces and nephews.
He had the following sibblings:
