Donald Gene "Don" Campbell, age 82, lifelong resident of Coweta went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 25, 2017 at his home in Coweta, Oklahoma. He was born on July 31, 1935 in Coweta, Oklahoma to Earnest S. and Viola Mae Cooper Campbell.
Don was raised in Coweta all his life and attended Coweta schools. He and Clarice Faye Watkins were married on July 8, 1957 in Coweta and she preceded him in death on December 30, 2009.
Don worked at Baker Hughes in Maintenance for 18 years until he retired in 1998. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice Campbell, his parents, Ernest and Viola Mae Campbell and one brother, Allen Campbell. Don is survived by his friend, Margaret Abel of Porter, Oklahoma, four brothers, Tommy Campbell and wife, Delaya of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Bobby Campbell and wife, Carolyn of Coweta, Oklahoma, Jerry Campbell and wife, Anita of Haskell, Oklahoma and Ronnie Campbell of Oneta, Oklahoma, one sister, Dorothy Garner and husband, Charles of Coweta, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services celebrating Don's life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma with Pastor James Stone Jr. officiating. A private interment will be in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
