Myrtle Ardace Evangeline was born on a farm near Dawson, Minnesota to Ommund E. and Christine (Mortenson) Oftedahl. She graduated from high school at a time when not many did and then went on to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Myrtle was a committed Christian who planned to serve the Lord Jesus, and she did, although not the way she thought she would. The Lord saw fit to allow her to get tuberculosis, and spend most of the rest of her days in a sanitarium.
She was not idle while afflicted, though. She continued to witness for the Lord and was responsible for many people trusting Christ as Savior. She affected many lives for the Lord before He called her home, including me (Don Oftedahl).
