John Jacob Goebel was born to Edward and Sadie Goebel in New City, Ny on September 28, 1915. John was a advid reader of Gods Word. His lovely wife Florence also read the Bible. John was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1943. John and Florence where married on June 18, 1943. They served first as pioneers in Massachusetts.. John supported his lovely wife Florence in her zealous ministry their entire marriage. After 70 years together, Florence feel asleep in death in April 2014. John stepped up his own zeal for the ministry in a powerful way. He would talk to everyone about God's Kingdom and the importance of making a good name with God. In the last year he enjoyed conducting a progressive Bible study that was the highlight of his week. All who have known John will keep alive the memory of his love for Jehovah, his family and friends, his practical wisdom, and his sharp-witted sense of humor. He was always ready to tell a joke, but watch out if he got trump in pinochie! With strong faith we await the day to welcome John and his dear wife Florence back to life. We know Jehovah is yearning to bring them back and soon will. That will be the real life!
