Kathleen Rose Flesher, 79, of Auburn died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Flesher was an elementary and middle school English teacher in St. Joe, and then became school librarian for the LaOtto and Avilla elementary schools, retiring in 1997.

She was a member of the Pine Island United Methodist Church in Pine Island, Florida. She was a member and past matron of the Spencerville Order of the Eastern Star Concord Lodge, a member of the Red Hat Society and a docent of The Lincoln Museum in Fort Wayne.

She was born December 6, 1938, in Antwerp, Ohio, to the late Lester D. and Rose (Bissell) Anthony.

She married Kenneth J. Flesher on April 8, 1960, in Muncie, and he survives in Auburn.

Also surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Keith E. and Beth Flesher of Auburn, Kyle J. and Nancy Flesher of Tallahassee, Florida, and Kurt A. and Lena Flesher of Auburn; eight grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a twin sister.

An Order of the Eastern Star Service will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with the Spencerville Order of the Eastern Star conducting the service. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn at a later date.

Calling will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Spencerville Order of the Eastern Star Concord Lodge to be used for scholarships.
