Edward S. Borden, 81, died Monday, December 25, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00AM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel. Burial will follow with military honors at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. A retired Master Gunnery Sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps he is preceded in death by his first wife, Jacqueline Borden. Survivors include his wife, Marilee Wiley Borden of the home; sons, Edward S. Borden Jr of Wilmington and David S. Borden of Winston Salem; daughter, Kat Bloom of Boulder, CO; step-daughter, Karyn Reeves of Jacksonville and step-son, Philip Wiley of Monroe; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
