Joseph Thomas "Joe" Jonnard was born on January 25, 1877 in Tennessee, the son of Alfonso "Alph" Jonnard (1827–1877) and Winifried "Winnie" (Bayle) Jonnard (ca 1832– ).
He was married to Maud May Thomas (1877–1931), the daughter of James W Thomas (ca 1845– ) and Mary Jane "Mollie" (Pickett) Thomas ( –1892).
A foreman for Nashville Chattanooga & Saint Louis Railroad Round House and living at 3640 Meadowbrook Avenue in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, Joe was 57 years old and a widower when he died at home of a cerebral hemorrhage on December 7, 1934. Burial was three days later in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
