Clifford James Akers was born to his parents, William Grayson and Angeline Arvilla Keffer Akers on . He had 2 siblings, Roger Lee and Darrell Grayson Akers. He was buried at THE MAPLE GROVE CEMETERY, at Clyde, Wayne County, New York. His family lived at Lyons, New York at that time.

There is only 3 burials recorded in THE BEST FAMILY plot 105. W. L. Best 1849-1885, wife Lillian Best, date of birth unknown-death 1929, and their child, Mary Grace Best, 1870-1874. One of the historians that was so very helpful to us, said that some times when there were not other relatives buried in a plot, nor any other relatives to be buried in the family plot that others can buy a grave there.

After moving back to West Virginia, Bill and Ann will have 4 more children, all boys. Steve, Dean, Tim, and Joe. We appreciate one of the local historians helping us to find Clifford's grave. There was not a headstone on the grave. Tim purchased and hand carried a beautiful headstone to Clyde, New York.
