Jack was a longtime Hobart resident and retired from Inland Steel in 1990. He was an avid Cubs and Bears fan and he enjoyed bowling and golf.
He is survived by three daughters, Laura (Tom) Lucas of Brooklyn Park, MN; Diane (Ernie) Achor of Beaufort, SC; Julie Mattull of Valparaiso, IN; one son, John (Nikki) Mattull of Valparaiso, IN; 20 grandchildren, Regina, Angelica, Jessica, Marty, Vanessa, Christina, Deanna, Cece, Cathy, Jesse, Jacklynn, Tommy, Andrea, Alex, Adam, Michael, Christiana, Tristan, Gage, and Chase, thirty-five great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Mattull, and his second wife, Leona Mattull, one daughter, Victoria Mattull, and one grandson, Stephen Olivarri
