FESSENDEN, Albert Horace (Bert)
- Went home to be with his Lord on Friday, September 24, 2010 in his 95th year. Predeceased by his loving wife of 67 years, Grace (Wood) Fessenden. Also predeceased by his parents Florence and Roy Fessenden, brothers Gil and Bill and sister Helen Heggie. Survived by his two sisters Mrs Addison (Kingston, ON) and Mrs Trethewey (Toronto). Beloved father of three sons (and their spouses) in Kitchener ON, Sherwood Park AB, and Orangeville ON. Grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of twelve. Bert lived and worked in Toronto until retirement, was an active member of Bethany Baptist Church (Toronto), and was employed by Noranda Mining Corp, now Xstrata. In retirement Grace and Bert lived in Innisfil, ON and more recently Bert lived in Orangeville, ON. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service and Celebration was held on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 1 pm at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home & Chapel, 21 First St, Orangeville. Sincere thanks to the staff at the Avalon Care Centre for their loving care during the past 2 years. In Bert's memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Baptist Church (1041 Pape Ave, Toronto, ON M4K 3W1) or to the charity of your choice.
