BON WIER—George Wesley Barrow, 74, of Bon Wier died Wednesday at Jasper Memorial Hospital after an illness.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bon Wier United Pentecostal Church with burial in Ford Cemetery in Bon Wier under the direction of Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.
There will be a wake today at the church. A native of Jasper, he lived most of his life in Bon Wier and was a retired timber contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Birdsong Barrow; a son, George W. Barrow Jr., both of Bon Wier; three daughters, Gayle Voss of Bon Wier, Peggy Frankland of Sulphur, La. and Sharon Kaye Jaynes of Houston; two borthers, William Barrow of Jasper and James W. Barrow of Houston; three sisters, Katherine Griffin and Evelyn Aarant, both of Jasper; Trudie Barrow of Palm Springs, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
