Mrs. Goldie Arvella Jones, 77, of Hagerstown, Md., died Sunday, March 18, at the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown. Born Jan. 11, 1930, in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late George Arnold and Hattie Rebecca (Shumaker) Bergdoll. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Jones in 2002; three sisters, Cornelia Garrett, Edrie Mullenax and Ora Bible; and four brothers, Freeman Bergdoll, George Bergdoll, Carmen Bergdoll and Scott Bergdoll. She is survived by three sons, Dale E. Jones of Boonsboro, Md., Stephen A. Jones of Pensacola, Fla., and Richard Jones of Tyrone, Pa.; one sister, Esther Simmons of Hagerstown; one brother, Ray Bergdoll of Petersburg; six grandchildren and one great-grandson. The Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport, Md., will be open after 9 a.m. today (Tuesday) for the convenience of the family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening?(Tuesday) from 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Larry Aikens officiating. Interment will be in the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown. (3-20)
