OBITUARY
Abraham Wagner was born August 28th, 1835, in Juanita county Pa., and died Saturday, August 13th, 1910, at Orlando, Okla., after a lingering illness of many months, being almost seventy-five years of age. In 1861 he was married to Sarah J. Rosensteel and to this union there was born twelve children of which five are dead. His wife, three daughters and four sons are left to mourn for him. A few years after his marriage he moved to the state of Ohio and in the year 1877 came to Kansas, and lived in Atchison county until 1899, when he purchased a farm northwest of Orlando and moved to Oklahoma, and has lived in this community since. Two years ago, Mr. Wagner went into the hardware and implement business in Orlando, but soon gave up active charge of the business, on account of his health and entrusted the business to his sons.
He had suffered long with sickness, being near death's door several times until at last he was relieved after hanging on to life so long through the struggle. By his death the town loses one of its best citizens and a good father and husband is gone from one of our best families.
The funeral was held at the Christian Church, Sunday morning, by Rev. J.E. Graves, and was attended by a crowd so large that the building could not accommodate all. The remains were followed by a long procession to Lawn View cemetery where interment took place.
