Adriano, or Danny, to his many friends and family, was born in Guam July 28, 1934. He joined the family of Juan Santos Aguon and Ana Crisostomo Aguon as the 5th of 8th children. His brothers included Raymond, Joe, Eddie, Tony and sisters Menang, Laling and Gloria. He joined the Navy and left the island to pursue his Military career which took him throughout the Pacific and ultimately to San Diego. While stationed in San Diego he met and immediately fell for the Chamorro beauty, Florence Merfalen. They married in September 1960. Baby Johanna (Jody) was their first child, born in Guam in 1961. Baby Lisa followed in 1963, followed up by baby Tony in 1964. With the family of 3 complete, the young couple settled in San Diego after Dan left the Navy after 10 years. Dan later decided to re-up with the Air Force and was sent to Burns Flat, Oklahoma for the next 3 years. Subsequent Air Force tours took the family to Vandenberg AFB in California, Adana Turkey, Albuquerque New Mexico, and finally back to Guam before retiring in 1978. Dan decided to move the family back to Southern California for the opportunity of working in aerospace contracting. Dan's exceptional work with the Department of Defense resulted in his proud involvement with the B210 stealth bomber project. After 30 years in government purchasing, Dan proudly retired in 2002. Dan and Florence were finally able to fulfill their dream of moving to Hawaii to enjoy retirement in a place they loved. Sadly, the move to Hawaii was marked by two severe and difficult bypass surgeries during their six years in Hawaii. Dan dearly loved to be back in the island lifestyle, but his health problems made it difficult to manage and they decided to move back to Southern California to be nearer to family. They found a nice home in Oceanside, CA and Dan made some good buddies and poker pals, to enjoy. Through the years, he was able to see his family grow! Johanna married John Pyles in 1996 and has a daughter, Lisa and Step-son Johnathan. Lisa married Steve Lankard in 1986 and has a daughter, Erika and son Troy. Tony married Alison Tubbs in 1994. Dan's oldest granddaughter, Lisa married Brittan Reese in 2011 and gave him is first Great Grandchild, Hendrix, who was a complete joy for him. Throughout his life, Dan was the ultimate family man. He always worked tirelessly to provide his family with a wonderful life. He was the best example of a man of integrity, grace, compassion and unconditional love. He was devoted to making sure his wife was completely happy and secure. To his children and grandchildren, he was the perfect patriarch. Dan's presence in their lives will forever be cherished and missed, but he has built a legacy to be proud of and admired.
