James Patrick Murray, Sr, 86, of Phoenix. A good man went to the loving arms of God on July 18, 2008.

Born July 23, 1921, he served valiantly in the Army in WWII and he retired from the US Postal Service in 1969.

A very beloved, loving, devoted husband to Marjorie and father to Judy (Terry), Deborah, Rose (Chuck, dec'd), Shelley (Oscar), Gail (Rod), Michael (Georgia), Duane (Nancy), and James. He adored his 23 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

He made many friends and touched the lives of everyone who knew him with his sense of humor and engaging ways. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral Service will be at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3040 N 7th Ave.

Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions in his name may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Chuch.
