Rites Saturday for Nellie Hickman, 82
Nellie E. Hickman, 82, widow of Marcus S. Hickman, Alburnett road, Marion, died Wednesday in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
Born April 5, 1877, on a farm near Cedar Rapids, she has been a lifelong Linn county resident . She was married Sept 1, 1897 north of Marion. Mr. Hickman died Dec. 10, 1947. She taught country school prior to her marriage. She was a member of the Alburnett Methodist church.
Surviving are three children, Mildred and Paul Hickman at home, and Irene McCrary of Pacific Junction, Ia., and a brother, David R. McCreery of Alburnett.
Services: Saturday at 2 p.m . at the Mudoch chapel, Marion, in charge of the Rev. R.C. Scott of Cedar Rapids. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
