Mrs. Adams was born September 8, 1928 in Oakdale , LA to Lena E. Durbin and John F. Brewer. She went to be with her Lord Monday, March 26, 2007. Mrs. Adams was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Oil City for more than 25 years.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents John and Lena Brewer; two sisters, Joyce Eloise Robbin and Billie Wanda Brewer; one brother, John Brewer, Jr., and a stepson, Chris James Adams. Survivors include her husband of 42 years Curtis James Adams; daughter Gwendolyn Rolene Regan and husband Edward; sons, Wayne Dalmon Carte and wife Jackie, John Edward Carte, Glen Michael Carte and wife Brenda, Robert Lane Carte and wife Rene, and Curtis Franklin Adams and wife Michelle; seventeen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Ruth Lucille Hernandez and Violet Louise Dancy and husband James; brother Willie Lee Brewer and wife Sandy; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
