WILLIAM ABBOTT
(1926-2000)

William "Red" Delbert Abbott, 74, passed away Nov. 24, 2000. He was born in Morehead, Ky., and lived in the Akron area most of his life. Mr. Abbot had retired as the owner/operator of G&A Roofing Company.

Preceded in death by his wife, Goldie V. (1993); survived by children, Rubbie Daiger, William Abbot, Barbara Gayer, Sandra Britton, Patricia Abbott, Peggy Weaver; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Murphy and Ruth Haberman; and brother, Millard Abbott.

Funeral services Tuesday 11 a.m. at Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd., Rev. Dale Smith officiating. Burial Lakewood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
