Dennis "Crusher" Malcolm Moses, 69 years old of Farmersville, Texas died January 6, 2018 in Farmersville, Texas of natural causes. He was born April 18, 1948, to David Martin Moses and Ethel Beach Moses in Waco, Texas. He owned and opereated Crusher"s Wrecking Yard in Farmersville since 1986.

He was a self-employed mechanic, wrecker driver, auto & auto parts entrepreneur for over 40 years. Farming with his family in Minnesota was a big part of his younger years. He loved the outdoors and cold weather.

He is survived by sisters, Caroline Moses and Joan Moses; Nephews: Allen Autrey, Brian & his wife, Debbie, Autrey; Niece: Keri & her husband, Robert, Askew; Grand-nephews & nieces: Danielle, Garrett & Emily Autrey, Cameron Nunn, Elizabeth Gerber, Lorilei Miranda, Casey & Curtis Askew and grand-grand niece and nephew and many others that loved him. He is also survived by his step-mother, Margaret Moses all of North Texas; Uncle Marvin & Aunt Jeannie of Minnesota and cousins: Connie, Cathy, Camille, Caren & Cindy. He is preceded in death by Mother – Ethel Moses Bradley & Father – David Martin Moses.

Dennis Malcolm Moses attended high school in Garland, TX and lived in Dallas until 1986. With the help of his father, he purchased and started Crusher"s Wrecking Yard. Known to most people simply as Crusher.

He became a very well-known name in all of the area, especially in the late 80"s through the 2000"s. Crusher came across, and wanted others to think of him as a tough SOB and someone not to mess with. Behind that facade, was a man that would help just about anyone that really needed it, opening up his home and offering jobs to those down on their luck, working with people to help them with a multitude of auto and other problems.

Down-deep he was a softy. He always had a love for animals and children. He treated his many animals over the years as well, if not better, than most people in his life.

Making special trips to the drive-thru or to the butcher to buy meat for his beloved fur-kids, even if he wasn"t getting anything for himself. Throughout the years there have been several Chows named "Chainsaw" and each one was #1 dog on the yard at their time. But, without a doubt, anyone that knew him at all knew that his #1 all-time favorite person was his nephew, Brian Autrey.

He took time to take his nephew, Allen, fishing, even buying a boat once just because he knew Allen loved fishing. He taught Keri some minor mechanics as all girls should know the basics. Dennis was a pillar of strength for both of his nephews and his niece.

He helped raise them and often said they were as much his kids as they were his sister"s because he was so involved. Dennis was the "Santa Claus" of the family bringing them their first bikes, remote control cars and whatever else he thought would be fun to a kid. Dennis was very close to both of his sisters, Caroline & Joni.

The three of them together have many stories of growing up in Midland and Garland, TX; trips to their grandparents" in Minnesota throughout their childhood and into their adult lives; and a once in a lifetime trip to Alaska they took together a few years back. Crusher, Dennis Malcolm Moses, was truly a one-of-a-kind and will absolutely be missed by his family, friends and community.
