Services for Edith (Spriggs) Baratier, 93, of 4001 E. Genesee St., who died Thursday at a local nursing home, will be at 2PM Monday at the Fairchild + Meech Syracuse Chapel, 500 W. Onondaga St.

BURIAL will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt.

There will be no calling hours.

A native of Parish + then moving to Hastings, NY, Mrs. Baratier, resided most of her life in the North Syracuse area.

SURVIVING are a daughter, Norma Mokry of Syracuse and a son-in-law, Nicholas Matkowski of Syracuse.

My Special Notation: Edith (Spriggs) Baratier FAMILY, also owned a Farmstead on the Baratier Road (across from Hastings Cemetery...) which was also adjacent with the Benson's + the Bowen's farms who were both of my MATERNAL GREAT-GRANDPARENTS.

The 'original' barn on the SPRIGGS / BARATIER Farm STILL stands, however, the current owners of the land have built a new Southern Colonial styled farmhouse to replace the old original farmhouse that was way over 100 years old + had become quite deteriorated over the years. RRW
