Actress. Born Doreen Isabelle Tracey, she was best known for being one of the original Mouseketeers on the Mickey Mouse Club from 1955 to 1958. She was born in London to American parents and, at the age of four, the family returned to the United States. She would later learn to sing and dance at the dance studio that her father had set up in Hollywood. Her first acting role came in the 1953 film "The Farmer Takes a Wife". When she was twelve years old, she auditioned to be one of the Mouseketeers on Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse Club and was hired. She would remain with the Mickey Mouse Club until 1958. During this time, she was given a part in the Disney film "Westward Ho, the Wagons!" in 1956 and also appeared on the Mickey Mouse Club serial "Annette" in 1958. She also toured Australia with the rest of the Mouseketeers. After leaving the Mickey Mouse Club, she appeared on the television series "The Donna Reed Show" in 1959. In the 1960s, she visited American military bases in South Vietnam and Thailand with her own act. She would later work in promotions at Warner Bros. Records with acts including Frank Zappa, The Tower of Power, and The Doobie Brothers. In the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, she co-starred with former Mouseketeers in several Mickey Mouse Club reunion shows at Disneyland and at Disney conventions. She was last part of the show's 60th Anniversary celebration in 2015. She passed away after a two-year battle with cancer.
