J W Marks, 82, of Lynn Haven, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2018 in his home. He was born January 19, 1935 in Henderson, Kentucky to Odie & Ruby Marks. He was a retired coal miner. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris Nall Marks; two daughters, Donna Baird (Richard); Dana Jones (Elmer); six grandchildren, Brian Vincent, Keith Jones, Kristie Mackowiak, Zach Baird, Nathan Baird, Leah Corey; seven great grandchildren, sister, Wanda Johnson (Cleatus); two nieces, Tammy Gibson (Monte), Lisa Harrison (Richard) and a nephew, Mike Bumpus (Mary Ann). Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Lynn Haven Cemetery with military honors conducted at the graveside. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Whosoever Will Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1200, Panama City, FL 32402 in memory of JW Marks.
