Mary June Kochell, 98, passed away at 7 PM on January 10, 2018 at Kewanee Care Home in Kewanee, IL. She was born in Danville, IL on September 23, 1919 to Isaac and Millie (Morrow) Powell. They precede her in death.

Mary was also preceded in death by her 1st husband; Raymond S. Hallett, her 2nd husband; Richard Wayne Kochell, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, a son; Jerry Wayne Hallett, and a grandson; William W. Hallett.

She is survived by 2 sons; Raymond (Linda) Hallett and Larry E. Hallett, a daughter; Mary Elaine (William) Darding, 11 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.

Mary loved to garden and sew. She made many quilts to keep her family warm. She could just look at a dress, make her own pattern and sew it up. She attended South Side Church of the Nazarene in Tilton for many years and First United Pentecostal Church in Kewanee, IL. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 AM on Monday January 15, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be Rev. William Darding. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 to 10 AM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Pentecostal Church in Kewanee, IL.
