81 of Surprise. AZ, passed away on 8/15/2017. Jerome John Riddle Jr., 81, of Surprise, AZ, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Born in Erie, PA, he was the son of the late Jerome and Jean Riddle. He is survived by his five children and stepson, Adrienne Riddle, Jerome (Dawn) Riddle III, Linda (Paul) Hirschi, Michael (Laura) Riddle, Autumn (Mark) Heller, and Jeff (Lynn) Galindo as well as his grandchildren, Amber, Brandon, Madison, Hannah, and Trace. Jerome will also be remembered by his three surviving siblings David Riddle, John Riddle, and Lois Atkin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Riddle, and his sisters Mary, Shirley, Patty and Dianne.Jerome was a graduate of Cathedral Prep HS in Erie, PA. He moved his family from Long Island, NY to Phoenix, AZ in 1964 to Westown where he worked and eventually retired as a lineman and supervisor for the Salt River Project and later for the Arizona Public Service Company. Jerome was a farmer, boxer, hunter, fisherman, runner, sports fan and a little league coach among many other things; but most importantly, he was our dad and our hero. Go in peace, Dad, and join those who await your arrival. May you and Liz continue together in eternal happiness.Services will be held at Heritage Funeral Chapel 6830 W. Thunderbird Road on Saturday, August 26th at 11am. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Best Friends Animal Society.
