Funeral of Mrs. Johnson.
The obseqnies of Mrs. Eleanor Johnson, who died in Chicago at the age of 53 years and brought to Milford on last Thursday for burial, occurred on Friday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock from the residence of Mrs. Augusta Beach, a sister of the deceased. Rev. Thomas Nichols preached the funeral sermon and interment was made in the Milford Cemetery. The pall bearers were Albert Helms, Charles Lattimore, William M. Watson, Almer Terwilliger, Harry Berthond and Henry Dennis.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Milford in 1840 and emigrated to the West in 1857, finally locating in Chicago, where she resided until her demise. Besides two sons - Harvey L. and John A. Johnson of Chicago - there are left to mourn her two brothers and two sisters, George N. of New York and Samuel Courtright of Chicago, Mrs. Fanny Drake, and Mrs. Augusta Beach of Milford.
Note: this is the correct spelling of Cortright, it is not Courtright.
