HANCHARIK— Viola A. (Zabrosky), 83, Windber, went to be with Jesus on Jan. 10, 2018 at Conemaugh Hospital. Born Dec. 29, 1934 in Windber, daughter of the late John and Mary (Pelyak) Zabrosky. Preceded in death by husband, Andrew (Tegda) Hancharik; daughter, Mona Toth; sisters, Ethel Piemontie; Betty Stawarz; Mary Frances Servansky- Krantz, Margaret Defalco. Survived by daughters, Carol Hancharik, Portage; Doris Blough, Altoona; Mary Terese Harkcom (Randy), Central City; son, Michael Hancharik, Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Amy Toth, Windber; John Blough, Altoona; Emily and Mark Harkcom, Central City; great-grandchildren, Kylee and Tyler Lybarger, Windber; and brother, John Zabrosky, Haymarket, VA. Viola was a lifelong member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Windber where she served in many compacities. She was passionate about gardening, crochet, reading, swimming, and playing the organ. She was the best mom and Bubba we could ask for. At Viola’s request there will be no viewing. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Fr. Rod Soha T.O.R., officiating. Committal, SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Cemetery. Family wishes to express gratitude to Conemaugh Hospital Intensive Care Unit in Rose Pavilion. Viola will be forever in our hearts.
