Born in Williamston, he was the son of the late John Mack Cantrell, Sr. and Julia Ellison Cantrell. Retired from Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, he was a cattle farmer, and a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. Mr. Cantrell was also a member and previously served as President of the Pelzer Lion’s Club. He was a Mason for fifty-plus-years, a Scottish and York Rite Mason, and a Hejaz Shriner.
In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters, Louise Mullikin and Ellen Smith; brothers, Lawrence Cantrell, Sr. and John Mack Cantrell, Jr.
