Florence Hein was born on 4 October 1897 in Hitchcock County, Nebraska, the daughter of Heinrich "Henry" Hein (1857-1941) and Christina Elisabeth Becker Hein (1856-1939). She was married to Rev. George Frederick Eichman (1890-1946) on 4 October 1914 (her 17th birthday) in Gulbertson, Nebraska. They had one son, Harold George Eichman (1915-2000). They resided in Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Denver, Colorado. She was widowed in 1946. She then married the widower Walter Wingfield Mason (1883-1962) about 1951. They resided in Michigan until his death in 1962. She later relocated to San Bernardino County, California, where she died on 8 November 1985 at the age of 88. She was interred at Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, OK alongside her first husband.
