Lawrence Joseph "Larry" Anseeuw was born in Ghent MN on October 13, 1936 to Morris and Ann (Husenfeldt) Anseeuw. He attended school in Minneota until his junior year. He went to work helping build the Minneota Elevator and then with the same company he worked in Fargo ND.
He met the love of his life in 1957 and married Janet Blood on Sept. 14, 1957. They were married for 58 years and through those years had five children. He worked with Duetz & Crow, drove a school bus for Canby schools, McLaughlin & Schultz road construction, owned Ansee's Supper Club and his favorite job was when he owned MN-Dak Amusement for many years. He was a hard worker and took pride in everything he did. He met many people through the years and cherished the lifelong friendships he made. Before retiring in 2013 he worked partime for Yellow Medicine County, he was not one to sit around so after retirement he would help his son Bill with cement work and some carpentry jobs. He also took pride in how his home and yard looked and loved mowing.

His hobbies through the years included playing baseball for Canby Knights, bowling, hunting and he loved dirt track racing where he won many trophies. He and his wife helped start the VNEA Pool League in the area and he also played pool where he was respected by many for his pool shooting ability and was always willing to help the younger men and women learn the game. He made many friendships with his gift of gab during his 30 years of playing pool and enjoyed every minute of it. He and Janet really enjoyed the years at their lake home on Lake Cochrane before moving back to Canby. His favorite thing to do was to be with the love of his life Janet. They did most everything together. They went to pool tournaments, shopping and going out to eat with friends. Janet passed away in 2015. A highlight in his life was when he took a trip with family to Las Vegas last May where Janet was inducted into the VNEA Pool Hall of Fame. He beamed with pride when he accepted it on her behalf. He loved being a family man and raised his five kids but really enjoyed watching his grandkids and great grandkids grow and learn. They were his pride and joy. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Larry is survived by his children: Robert (Darlene) Anseeuw, Laurie (Scott) Bliss, Diana Pihlaja and William (Sue) Anseeuw; grandchildren: Grant Anseeuw, Charles Anseeuw, James Anseeuw, Kandyce (Bliss) Johnson, Kendall Bliss, Keniesha Bliss, Brandon Stripling, Betsy (Bliss) Tetrick, Derek Pihlaja, Arielle Pihlaja, Shelby Pihlaja, Brandi Anseeuw, Amanda Anseeuw and Chance Anseeuw; great-grandchildren: Rayne Anseeuw, Abigail Anseeuw, Nevaeh Stripling, Kiyanna Johnson, Erilynn Johnson, Elaynna Johnson, Brody Berends, Nora Bliss, Mason Tetrick, Hunter Tetrick and Alexis Tetrick; sister, Evelynn Lozinski, Marshall, MN; and brother-in-law, Tom Blood, Crosby, MN.
