Bessie was the daughter of William J + Nellie [Streeter] Stanford growing up on the farm in Buckland with sisters Pearl and Florence and brother Walter. Active in the Methodist Church, she was very supportive of her husband, Joseph Earl, who had a demanding career and civic life in Boston.
She graduated from North Adams Normal School - a teacher with remarkable patience and good will who continued that wonderful loving spirit as she raised her family in Belmont. She strongly encouraged education and was very generous in helping with it. So beloved by all including 9 grandchildren, neices and nephews, cousins.
So dearly missed and so many cherished memories.
