John was born in Rahway and formerly of Metuchen before moving to Neshanic Station in 2014. He obtained an Associate Degree at Widener University in Economics and then graduated from Kean University with a Bachelors Degree in Business. He worked as a correction officer for the State of New Jersey for 5 years. Then John moved onto a full time self employment as a real estate investor for the past 30 years at Woodbridge Lease Company in Metuchen. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Metuchen. In his spare time, John enjoyed playing golf and going away on the weekend with his family. He was an avid NY Yankees baseball fan and was a "history buff". John was very caring, kind, and generous and will be sadly missed by all.
Surviving is his wife of 23 years Maria, two sons Maximilian and Sebastian, a brother Jeff Lease, and his mother June Lease.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am Saturday at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 Gaston Ave, Somerville. Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge.
Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm Friday.
