Kyle was born on Aug. 4, 1932, at Methodist Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
He was baptized at First Christian Church, in Madison on March 4, 1945. In June, 1951, he graduated from East High School in Madison.
Kyle was united in marriage to Donna Marie Neuenburg of Redwood Falls, Minn. on Aug. 27, 1955. They were blessed with four children.
He graduated from Minnesota Bible College, Minneapolis, Minn., in June 1956 (A.B. Ministerial) and was ordained at First Christian Church, Madison, on June 3, 1956. In June of 1969, he received a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Milligan College in Tenn.
Rev. Simplot pastored churches from 1955-1977 in St. Peter, Minn., Loami, Ill., Harrodsburg, Ky., Erwin, Tenn., McLean, Va., and Madison, Wis. He was also a radio broadcaster for "Magnolia Meditations" Station WHBN in Harrodsburg, Ky. from 1963-66 and the editor/publisher for the monthly journal "New Wine" from 1968- 1970 and "Perspectives" from 1988-present.
Rev. Simplot fulfilled his graduate studies at Emmanuel School of Religion in Johnson City, Tenn. from 1966-1969 and at Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Va., in 1972.
He was the founder and first president of Christian Amateur Radio Fellowship in 1966, secretary to Wisconsin Assemblymen, Leo Mohn and Peter Bear, at the State Capitol, in Madison, Wis., from 1977-79; Legislative Assistant to Wisconsin State Senator, Peter Bear from 1979-81, and Administrative Assistant to Manager of Government Affairs, 3M Company in St. Paul, Minn., from 1992-97.
On Dec. 31, 1997, Rev Simplot retired. Over the years, he was proud to have been a guest speaker in twelve states at the following locations:

Kyle is survived by his longtime companion, Dr. Edward Wenzel; his four children, Dennis Kyle Simplot of Oregon, Wis., Timothy William Simplot of Oregon Wis., Karen Darleen Simplot of Madison, and Pamela Kaye Simplot of Oregon, Wis; grandson, James Jonathon Huber of Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys Lucretia Tucker of Oak Park, Ill. in 1958 and Raymond William Simplot of Dubuque, Iowa in 1967; wife, Donna in 1977; and siblings, Franklin Gould in 1981, LuRay Arms in 1983, and Virginia Rist in 1994.
Private services were held and Kyle was laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona, Wis. In lieu of flowers, please perform a random act of kindness, or consider making a donation in Kyle’s name to your local Humane Society.
