Ruby Waugh Belk, 90, of Mooresville, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the Serenity House in Mooresville.
She was born on October 29, 1925 in Mooresville, to the late Archie and Mary Lytle Waugh. Mrs. Belk was retired from Ivey’s Department Store and a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church in Mooresville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Waugh.
She is survived by her son, Gerry Basista and wife, Jane; grandchildren, Amelia, Anna, and Alison Basista; and great granddaughter, Madeline Basista.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 28 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas Schnitzlein officiating. Burial will follow the service at Willow Valley Cemetery in Mooresville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Serenity House, 110 Centre Church Rd, Mooresville, NC 28117 and/or Broad Street United Methodist Church, 355 South Broad Street, Mooresville, NC 28115.
