Edwin Lincoln Clarkson Ted 1/24/23 ~ 5/17/04 Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend Ted Clarkson passed away May 17, 2004 after a painful extended illness.

Born January 24, 1923, He was a son of Gilbert W. and Ellen Lincoln Clarkson. In 1940 Ted graduated from East High School and later attended Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo.

He served his country three years with a B-17 crew in the 8th Army Air Force during World War II. On July 11, 1945 Ted married Virginia Lou Graham in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A High Priest in the Rosecrest Second Ward, he served in a variety of positions, including Ward Clerk for three bishoprics over 20 years.

Professionally Ted was a dedicated employee and retired from Equifax after 43 years of service. He enjoyed vacations with his family, pulling his trailer, and visiting ghost towns and beaches. He had a love for nature, cars, his cats, Willie Nelson's music and John Wayne westerns. With his friendly personality Ted met people easily and visited many care centers to cheer up patients. He had a keen sense of humor and always had a story to tell.

Ted is survived by his wife of 59 years Ginnie, daughter Diane, son Larry (Joy), grandchildren Tallis, Ashley, Heather, and brother Al (Lue) Olympia, Washington. He was preceded in death by son Steven, and five stepbrothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 21st at Wasatch Lawn Chapel, 3901 Highland Drive.

Burial will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
