Wrightstown - Jeanne A. Wier, age 84, a former Manitowoc resident, was taken to Heaven on the wings of angels on Friday evening, January 19, 2018 at Matthews of Wrightstown.
Jeanne was born on January 16, 1934 in Riverhead, NY, daughter of the late John K. and Sophie H. (Grygo) Bieniek. She was employed with Mirro Aluminum for sixteen and a half years. On December 20, 1985 she married Gerald Wier at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montpelier, WI. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2001. Jeanne enjoyed gardening, baking bread, sewing, crocheting, canning and doing arts and crafts, but most importantly she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her six children: Grace A. Ullmann, Appleton. Nancy (Robert) Helbick, Green Bay, Kathy (Ray) Stodola, Cato, Herbert (Francis) Ullmann, Appleton, Robert (Nina) Ullmann, Green Bay, Ronald Ullmann, Kewaunee; Gerald's children from her second marriage: Brian (Judy) Wier, Colfax, Hersha (Hiromi) Fugii; 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law: Betty (Bob) Gilliam, AZ. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one infant son: Randy L. Ullmann; one daughter and son-in-law: Jeanne M. & Jeff Nicholai; one grandson; five brothers: Robert, William, Edward, John and James Bieniek; one sister: Grace A. Paramigiani; and her first husband, Herbert W. Ullmann.
Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and a Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, on Friday, January 26, 2018. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Zachary DeArmond with burial of Jeanne's cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (Noon).
